Antropología sobre el conocimiento tradicional en el Chocó es el quinto volumen de la Biblioteca Afrocolombiana de las Ciencias Sociales. En este trabajo antropológico se muestra la capacidad y conocimientos enciclopédicos del autor con respecto a las comunidades afrocolombianas del andén pacífico chocoano en los terrenos etnobotánicos, ecológicos, mitológicos, musicales, religiosos y etnológicos. El resultado de la investigación es el reconocimiento de la “episteme afro” que ostentan los curadores y médicos tradicionales conocedores del poder curativo de las plantas, una verdadera “epistemología del sur” que busca hacer justicia epistémica para las comunidades afrocolombianas asentadas en el Pacífico.
