Esta obra es un homenaje al centenario de fundación de la Sociedad Colombo-Alemana de Transporte Aéreo (SCADTA), que tuvo una gran incidencia en el desarrollo del país durante la primera mitad del siglo XX. Entre sus contribuciones estuvo la aerofotografía, herramienta útil para el análisis del territorio y proyección de la ciudad. El libro rescata 130 fotografías tomadas por pilotos de la época, que permiten ilustrar el crecimiento urbanístico de Barranquilla en 1939; estas se acompañan por datos históricos y
arquitectónicos recopilados por investigadores de Uninorte.
