Con este propósito se ha confeccionado el presente Catálogo, donde se describen pormenorizadamente cada uno de los ejemplares que componen la Coleeción de los Libros Antiguos que conserva la Biblioteca Mario Carvajal de la Universidad del Valle (Santiago de cali, Colombia). Sus señas de identidad permiten decir que estamos ante un valioso legado bibliográfico por lo que representaron para las comunidades política, científica y religiosa de su tiempo.
