Este libro estudia aquellas agrupaciones que surgieron con el objetivo de defender los derechos de sus víctimas. En concreto, su objetivo es analizar la trayectoria de las asociaciones y fundaciones de víctimas y su contribución al proceso de construcción de paz y convivencia en Euskadi. Este análisis de la trayectoria del movimiento asociativo de víctimas puede contribuir a la deslegitimación de la violencia en la medida en que muestra el carácter resiliente de las víctimas y subraya su contribución a los procesos de paz, desmontando la idea ampliamente extendida de que las víctimas y sus asociaciones son un obstáculo para la convivencia.
