Este libro establece las características del proceso de formación y circulación de la educación financiera, así como del trasplante de esta agenda al contexto institucional colombiano durante la última década. Precisa los textos normativos y de política en los que se materializa e identifica los actores que han participado en su promoción global y específicamente en su importación al ámbito colombiano. Se concluye que este “proyecto general”, como lo denomina la OCDE, no consiste únicamente en la transferencia de estándares, sino en la divulgación de argumentos que les garantizan una plataforma intelectual y política. En cuanto a este aspecto, se describe la racionalidad rectora que predomina en la versión de educación financiera impulsada por la OCDE y el G20, transferida a Colombia, la cual se orienta a la formación de una subjetividad financiera.
