El tema de este libro es el del control de constitucionalidad
y más propiamente, el del control judicial de constitucionalidad.
El texto hace una presentación de las reglas vigentes en materia de control, respecto de cada una de las competencias fijadas a la Corte Constitucional en Colombia. El material ha sito trabajado y dividido en diez secciones que presentan los elementos dogmáticos y operativos del control constitucional, así como la manera como se ejerce ese control sobre los actos reformatorios de la Constitución, los referendos constitucionales, las leyes, los decretos con fuerza de ley, los decretos legislativos, los proyectos de ley, los tratados públicos y el control concreto, es decir, el que se efectúa en virtud de la acción de tutela y de la excepción de inconstitucionalidad.
