A la luz de las movilizaciones sociales producidas en Chile desde el año 2011, se hace evidente que los canales institucionales que son en parte producto de las propias condiciones impuestas por nuestro modelo de transición se vieron ampliamente desbordados, abriendo nuevas interrogantes acerca de cuáles son los mecanismos político- institucionales más adecuados para atender a estas nuevas demandas. El libro pretende desarrollar un balance de las políticas en materia de participación ciudadana que se han propiciado en Chile, así como dar cuenta de los desafíos que plantea a la luz de la transformación política y social que ha experimentado la ciudadanía.
