La presencia o la ausencia del trazo del horizonte en los bosquejos arquitectónicos da pistas sobre cómo estos arquitectos abordan, por medio del dibujo, la arquitectura y su relación con el mundo comprendido entre el cielo y la tierra. Este libro también ilustra, con el fin de ampliar el panorama, cómo cinco culturas —repartidas a lo largo y ancho del tiempo y la geografía— han concebido y representado la relación cosmogónica original entre el cielo y la tierra, relación que ha dado forma a su pensamiento, sus costumbres y sus arquitecturas.
