Gramática ritual. Territorio, poblamiento e identidad afropacífica
Esta obra plantea una reflexión sobre la identidad de las gentes afroamericanas residentes en la Costa Pacifica colombiana y sus diversas formas culturales. Se inicia con el contexto geográfico y ecológico y con el manejo tecnoeconómico que ha desarrollado su población en esta región. Igualmente, hace un recuento histórico de la ocupación del espacio -de cómo las diversas poblaciones han construido sus lugares y las distintas maneras del habitar-. El Pacífico Colombiano ha tejido una cultura híbrida y por tanto sus identidades sociales están representadas por diversos imaginarios. Tales imaginarios se exploran mostrando las conexiones entre música, oralidad, ritmo, danza y teatro en las expresiones culturales de las comunidades. Los aportes africanos, hispanos e indianos se hacen presentes en este libro, a través de la recreación y redefinición de sus elementos culturales, donde el gesto, el ritual, la memoria, la danza y la palabra son elementos constitutivos de la apropiación cultural afropacífico.
