El objetivo de este texto es introducir a los estudiantes de Ingeniería en la determinación práctica de conceptos y propiedades relativas al comportamiento mecánico de los materiales a través de una compilación de prácticas de laboratorios en mecánica que incluye: recomendaciones para el uso del Sistema Internacional de Unidades, lineamientos para presentación de los reportes y una fundamentación para la determinación de errores en la experimentación, además del ajuste de los datos experimentales.
