Haptopías
Haptopías es claramente una palabra inexistente y se compone de dos raíces griegas: la palabra haptos/hapto, que significa palpable/tocar, y la palabra topos/topia, que significa lugar. La haptopía demanda el contacto para dejarse conocer, es un territorio que entiende el cuerpo como posibilidad de expansión, un lugar sin un lugar físico donde los sentidos dialogan en flujos no siempre armónicos o unívocos.
¿Cuántas veces utilizamos la palabra sentir en un día? ¿En cuántos modos extraños, fugaces o entrañables la utilizamos? ¿Qué viene primero: la sensación o la emoción? ¿Y la razón se ausenta y, luego, complementa? ¿Qué lugar ocupa la memoria en este proceso?
Este libro transita –en capítulos breves y circunscritos– el problema de lo háptico, su relación con el cuerpo y la morfología de los sentidos. Quiere ser una puerta que permita acercarse al estudio de los sentidos y al fenómeno de la percepción desde la intermodalidad y el holismo. Quiere ser también una cartografía que llame a los lectores a emprender nuevas exploraciones y que amplíe el entendimiento de lo háptico.
