Historia del PCE
Desde mediados del siglo XIX el movimiento obrero soñó con el advenimiento de un momento revolucionario con el que alcanzar una sociedad igualitaria y libre. Una utopía necesaria, surgida de la división de clases y de la desigualdad establecida por el capitalismo. El nacimiento de la Tercera Internacional abrió paso, en 1921, a la fundación del Partido Comunista de España, que daría un gran salto adelante durante la República con su integración en el Frente Popular. Tras el fracaso de conciliar a las distintas corrientes obreras durante la Guerra Civil, la derrota republicana asestó un terrible golpe al PCE, que afrontó el exilio sin haber podido establecer una organización clandestina en España. El largo periodo de resistencia y lucha contra el franquismo adquirió impulso en los últimos años de vida del dictador, hasta la ansiada legalización del partido. A propósito del primer centenario del PCE, José Luis Martín Ramos analiza de modo sintético su trayectoria completa y su decisivo papel, desde sus orígenes hasta hoy, en nuestra historia más reciente.
