Homenaje a Ginastera para piano y orquesta: obras de creación original de música de cámara y para orquesta
Alberto Ginastera es, sin lugar a dudas, uno de los más grandes compositores de las Américas. El autor de este concertino para piano y orquesta realiza un homenaje a este insigne argentino incorporando en la obra rasgos estilísticos característicos, con tratamientos personales que involucran también sonoridades propias de músicas tradicionales colombianas. La pieza presenta un formato típico de concierto con instrumento solista en el que se alternan pasajes de piano solo, piano acompañado e interludios orquestales.
Se han recreado aquí también procedimientos rítmicos de ascendencia africana propios de las músicas del Caribe como son, por ejemplo, la compresión celular rítmica por adición o sustracción de elementos. La obra está dedicada a la gran pianista colombiana Patricia Pérez.
