La crisis financiera internacional y sus efectos sobre la economía española: seis conferencias
Como Profesor de la Facultad de Económicas de la Universidad de Alcalá, y estudioso del fenómeno financiero, me pareció que podía ser útil hacer llegar a los alumnos, en lenguaje asequible, mi visión de la crisis financiera, tema que se convirtió rápidamente en principal foco de atención. El mismo interés provocaba la crisis de la economía española, que tenía relación con la conmoción financiera global, pero con características propias que me parecía interesante precisar. Con este objeto, al comienzo de los cursos académicos 2008, 2009 y 2010 dicté dos conferencias seguidas, cada año, tratando, primero, la crisis financiera mundial, para encuadrar, a continuación, la situación de la economía española. Esas seis conferencias son las que se recogen en este libro tal y como fueron dictadas y publicadas de forma inmediata, como se detalla en cada una.
