Comienza como un diario en Amberes el 20 de
junio de 1968, «tratando de descifrar el secreto»
de esas vidas, y de toda vida, atrapadas en rituales
que tal vez, como cualquier cifra humana, parezcan
«ininteligibles para los profanos». Están aquí, en
tercera persona, los únicos datos que tenemos de la
vida de este infatigable y apasionado caminante, uno
de los más penetrantes y completos ensayistas que
ha tenido Colombia.
