Este cuento narra la historia Alejandra, una niña que tiene el diagnóstico de VIH y que pierde a sus padres a causa de esta enfermedad. Al principio, ella es discriminada por sus amigos, y no entiende qué es lo que sucede. Su abuelita trata de consolarla, pero a partir de lo que le explican en el colegio y en el consultorio médico, ella empieza a comprender qué es el VIH, por qué debe ir todos los meses a la clínica y las razones por las cuales debe tomar su medicamentos. Mientras aprende sobre su enfermedad, sabe que cuenta con el apoyo de su abuelita, del equipo médico y, finalmente, también de sus amigos.
