Este libro es el resultado de una investigación etnográfica interesada por la particular
manera en que los ette, indígenas de las llanuras del río Ariguaní en el
norte de Colombia, más conocidos como “chimilas”, conciben el universo y experimentan
e interpretan sus sueños. Aunque comúnmente se describieron como
una sociedad, o bien cercana a la extinción, o bien en franco estado de descomposición,
hoy día comparten un complejo conjunto de prácticas e ideas en el que el sueño
ocupa un lugar central.
