Constituye un instrumento útil para reconocer diversas especies continentales tanto de origen marino como de agua dulce presentes en El Venado. Se muestra la estructura de la quebrada, algunos datos conocidos de varios peces locales y sus correspondientes imágenes en estado vivo con su coloración real. Incluye información pertinente y de fácil entendimiento para reconocer y entender algunos aspectos biológicos de varias especies de peces de la región.
