La Pedagogía Social es una disciplina que investiga y orienta la práctica socioeducativa teniendo como propósito la mejora sociocomunitaria, desde una dimensión cultural, horizontal y ética. La región iberoamericana presenta relaciones, dificultades, conflictos y posibilidades para la actuación en ámbitos como la infancia, la adolescencia y la juventud; el ámbito penitenciario; la multiculturalidad e interculturalidad, la construcción de cultura de paz, la salud o la actuación con las escuelas y su gestión comunitaria. Este libro presenta algunos de los principales fundamentos, ámbitos y retos de la pedagogía social en Iberoamérica; y en Colombia particularmente, dirigidos desde una perspectiva interdisciplinar al sector académico, profesional e institucional que estudia y/o trabaja en campos sociales, educativos y de salud.
