Este volumen reúne parte de los trabajos presentados en el I congreso Bienal de Seguridad Jurídica en Iberoamérica realizado en la ciudad de Girona en 2013. Los trabajos recogidos presentan diversos enfoques de la seguridad jurídica y los vinculan con la democracia, la corrupción, la seguridad ciudadana y la formación de jueces y magistrados. Además, la parte final de la edición está dedicada a la discusión sobre la posibilidad de "medir" la seguridad jurídica a través de indicadores, concluyendo con una propuesta integral de indicadores par la medición de la seguridad jurídica en Iberoamérica.La amplitud, y a la vez rigurosidad, con que están abordadas las diversas aristas de la seguridad jurídica hacen de esta publicación una herramienta imprescindible tanto para quienes tienen un interés académico en el tema, como para quienes se vinculan a él desde una perspectiva práctica.
