En casi todos los países el fin del conflicto político no necesariamente ha significado el fin de la violencia, aunque se han iniciado procesos institucionales para tramitar el pasado, cuya incidencia depende de las fuerzas políticas internas de cada país, así como de los contextos internacionales. Los casos ilustran la complejidad de los desafíos profesionales, redefiniendo las modalidades de trabajo desde enfoques y conceptualizaciones a partir de las necesidades de las víctimas.
