Visiones de un mundo desigual reúne ensayos que sintetizan y expanden el debate contemporáneo sobre la “literatura mundial”, entendida no solo como circulación transnacional de obras, sino como un fenómeno determinado por las dinámicas del presente capitalista. Desde esta perspectiva, esta compilación cuestiona las jerarquías centro-periferia que determinan qué y cómo se canoniza, cuáles géneros circulan y qué imaginarios se difunden, incorporando también rutas y diálogos sur-sur. La selección combina marcos teóricos y estudios concretos —muchos desde y sobre América Latina— que abordan traducción, recepción, filiaciones feministas e historia de comunidades lectoras; ofrece así un anclaje material y contextual a una discusión que es a menudo abstracta. Esta es una lectura fundamental para repensar la literatura en un mundo globalizado y desigual.
