Este libro pretende ayudar a clarificar algunas de las complejidades psicológicas de los seres humanos, para poder acercarse comprensivamente al significado de sus experiencias. En este sentido, se resaltan diversos conceptos tales como libertad, consciencia, ser-en-el-mundo, experiencia de ansiedad, temporalidad, voluntad, sentido vivenciado, e intencionalidad, entre otros. Igualmente, en lo que se refiere a la psicoterapia, el lector podrá encontrar algunos elementos centrales, indistintamente de los autores en los que se fundamente alguna propuesta puntual; entre estos conceptos centrales a la psicoterapia se encuentran: relación terapéutica entendida como encuentro, aquí y ahora, presencia, proceso experiencial y carácter dialéctico o relacional de la psicoterapia y de la experiencia de los seres humanos.
