Sinopsis
En el mundo, el trabajo social tiene una historia de más de cien años. En América Latina inicia con la conformación de la primera escuela de trabajo social en Chile, en 1925, y en Colombia esto acontece en 1936 con la creación de la Escuela de Trabajo Social de la Universidad Colegio Mayor del Rosario. Años más adelante, se crea el programa de Trabajo Social de la Universidad de La Salle, en 1966, que en 2016 celebró sus primeros cincuenta años. Ha sido una historia construyendo academia, universidad, pero sobre todo aportando desde allí al debate, a la formación, a la investigación y a las prácticas socio profesionales del trabajo social en el país y en la región latinoamericana. La publicación colectiva que ahora entregamos presenta a la comunidad académica diversas contribuciones al trabajo social y a las ciencias sociales en el país, producto de la historia de institucionalización del programa en la Universidad de La Salle. Es un aporte a la reflexión y al debate alrededor de las tendencias y los retos relacionados con los saberes, los aprendizajes y las prácticas profesionales y disciplinares del trabajo social que emergen en la historia de la profesión en el país.
