Este libro es producto de la investigación académica de Maestría de Inocencio Serrano Guerra, quien pone en nuestras manos el resultado de los estudios que realizó acerca de la adaptación teatral del corrido “El tigre de la sierra”. Asimismo, presenta los detalles del proceso de montaje desde la perspectiva del análisis del relato literario, la poética y la dramaturgia, además de identificar y definir, a partir de un análisis histórico, el origen, autoría y contexto de dicho corrido, y la metodología que utilizó Francisco Arzola para la trasposición de la obra musical al texto dramático.
Sin duda, se trata de una obra que brinda información vital de un texto representativo del ambiente guerrerense.
