Un libro introductorio a los conceptos básicos que definen el Trastorno del Espectro Autista (tea), su diagnóstico (pruebas psicológicas que se utilizan para ellos) e intervención (técnicas más utilizadas de vanguardia) en los niños autistas. Dirigido a las madres de estos pequeños, sobre todo a los de reciente diagnóstico. Este libro contiene la experiencia y el testimonio de madres que comparten su vivencia y cómo han construido redes de apoyo entre ellas; también está dirigido a psicólogos, pedagógos, profesionales de educación especial y estudiantes de licenciatura y maestría del área educativa y clínica, especialmente del ipn quienes llevan unidades de aprendizaje de educación especial y entornos eductativos. Asimismo, desde el enfoque psicoanálitico, define las dificultades del vínculo que presentan los niños con la madre (objeto primario) y la forma de reestablecerlo. Por último, señala los centros para la atención de estos niños, dejando la puerta abierta a futuras investigaciones, como el lugar de padre en la familia de quien presenta el Trastorno del Espectro Autista.
