Sinopsis
Codicilo es una breve e insólita novela en la que el prolífico escritor mexicalense Gabriel Trujillo Muñoz nos describe, al recurrir al género policiaco, las peripecias de un profesor universitario de Long Island que se ve encuelto, a causa de sus confesadas y cuestionables ambiciones personales, en una serie de hechos sangrientos derivados de la búsqueda de la única obra de una autora fantasmática. Los sucesos, narrados desde la primera persona del protagonista, se desarrollan con una intensidad y una velocidad inusuales, aunque el lector los apreciará asimismo como un raconto pleno de observaciones críticas -no ajenas a sutiles ironías- referidas tanto a los medios académicos e intelectuales como a ciertos aspectos de la sociedad estadunidense. El autor demuestra un estupendo conocimiento de todos los recursos del género, que nos ofrece por medio de una escritura pulcra y largamente asentada.
