En el segundo volumen de la colección "Pre-Textos Geografía. Las dos caras del espejo" se reúnen una serie de textos que trazan una amplia reflexión sobre temas que siempre han ocupado un importante lugar en la agenda del pensamiento geográfico, pero con la particularidad de que se encuentran planteados y desarrolladosdesde sus discusiones contemporáneas, que representan una evidencia del dinamismoque actualmente tiene la disciplina en nuestras latitudes y en nuestras instituciones educativas.
Estos Debates contemporaneos en geografía tejen sus miradas a partir de reflexiones sobre la educación geográfica, las problemáticas ambientales, los procesos de territorización y algunos de sus conflictos más significativos, y en el tópico del desarrollo regional, por tal razón, tenemos la firma intención de que los esfuerzos y el trabajo materializado en esta obra sirvan de pretexto a los estudiantes para imaginar ytrazar caminos, que desde la geografía permitan dialogar con otras disciplinas, a la vez que abran el horizonte del pensamiento geográfico y amplíen sus impactos en la reconfiguración de nuestro mundo.
