¿Cómo realizar decisiones éticas en una sociedad pluralista? ¿Cómo formar la propia opinión ética de manera responsable y fundada? Este libro propone un método: una ética del discernimiento. Además, muestra en concreto cómo se realiza este proceso mediante su empleo en casi ochenta temas de actualidad. Así, se pretende presentar una teoría y también demostrar su aplicabilidad mediante su uso en una amplia variedad de temas cotidianos. Se adopta el método ignaciano del triple paso: experiencia (hecho) / reflexión (su comprensión e implicaciones éticas) / acción (elementos para el discernimiento): una reflexión sobre la experiencia con miras a una acción consecuente. De esta manera, no se pretende agotar un tema ni tampoco pronunciar una palabra conclusiva. Su propósito es poner de relieve la dimensión ética en la discusión sobre temas que inciden en la vida ciudadana. Por ello, no se pretende pensar éticamente por otros sino estimular a otros para pensar éticamente.
