La obra Derecho Procesal Penal tiene por objeto el análisis y explicación del Proceso Penal, atendiendo a sus instituciones fundamentales como son: los principios constitucionales, las medidas cautelares, la investigación y prueba de los hechos en el proceso penal y los procedimientos que se siguen en esta materia. La sistemática seguida se fundamenta en la voluntad de ofrecer el máximo de conocimiento e información para conseguir un máximo de entendimiento de la materia. A ese fin, seguimos un modelo de explicación de las cuestiones que se fundamenta en los textos principales en los que se contienen las referencias precisas para el correcto análisis y comprensión de las instituciones de un modo directo y accesible. Textos que se refuerzan con los párrafos necesarios, en letra más pequeña, y notas a pie de página donde se contienen, en su caso, ulteriores precisiones o informaciones sobre cada una de las materias objeto de explicación. También es destacable la jurisprudencia que se acompaña para una mejor aplicación de las instituciones. De ese modo entendemos se conjugan las necesidades de los usuarios, que pueden tener un distinto nivel de interés o exigencia respecto a los temas tratados.
