Interesante es el estudio de La segunda Celestina, la comedia perdida de esta autora que G. Schmidhuber descubrió y publicó en 1990, con un prólogo de Octavio Paz. El sorjuanismo debe evitar la 'deshistorización' de la biografía de sor Juana; no es posible entenderla bajo la óptica del mundo actual, su figura debe ser esclarecida dentro de su circunstancia histórica y este estudio de su teatro ayuda al respecto. Sor Juana escribió más líneas de piezas representables que de poesía, es decir, cuantitatvamente fue más dramaturga que poeta.
