Sinopsis
Este volumen presenta una serie de ensayos centrados en el discurso del cuerpo femenino y su representación en el cine, especialmente a partir del análisis del trabajo cinematográfico de la actriz María Rojo, tras cuyos personajes se encuentra un discurso que subvierte una serie de alegorías y construcciones estereotípicas del cuerpo femenino, creadas y propagadas por el cine producido desde la década de los sesenta hasta después del año 2000.
Asimismo, los textos que aquí se publican muestran cómo el cine social de vanguardia logra una representación objetiva del cuerpo de la mujer que cuestiona los discursos tradicionales, supuestamente consagrados al cine de los cincuenta, sesenta y setenta, pensados y construidos desde una perspectiva masculina.
