Sinopsis
Guadalupe Pérez-Anzaldo establece en este volumen relaciones entre las representaciones fílmicas de violencia y el entorno socioeconómico en el que se originan (producción, propiedad, distribución, repre-sentación, consumo y control). Contra la tentación de respaldarse en valores morales absolutos, la autora estudia diferentes instancias de violencia, su preciso contexto histórico en México y su relación con los procesos económicos globales. El lenguaje directo con el que ella nombra el terrorismo empresarial y de Estado, las diferentes formas de violencia hacia sus víctimas, así como su representación, añaden otra razón para embarcarse en la lectura de este manuscrito.
