Sinopsis
La interdisciplinariedad se ha convertido en parte indispensable del léxico científico desde los años setenta, cuando Jean Piaget puso de relieve su incuestionable importancia para lograr que la ciencia respondiese a los problemas que se plantean en la sociedad contemporánea, no a los criterios e intereses de la comunidad científica. El reto de construir una ciencia basada en la cooperación entre disciplinas requiere modificar aspectos importantes de los hábitos y procedimientos de la comunidad científica y de los sistemas de evaluación y de financiación. El encuentro disciplinar solo es posible cuando se han desarrollado metodologías novedosas y marcos teóricos adecuados. La tarea es tan exigente que puede considerarse un mito, pero se dan experiencias que muestran que se puede afrontar con éxito en los sistemas de I+D si los organismos reguladores y las instituciones implicadas asumen un compromiso real.
