Sinopsis
¿Qué sentido tiene convocar a un conjunto de investigadores(as) de la Universidad para reflexionar sobre las maneras singulares en las que sus disciplinas han construido sus respectivos objetos de estudio? El título del trabajo encierra la hipótesis de que todo conocimiento, independientemente de la disciplina de la que se trate, refiere a una escala, a una dimensión del infinito universo. Dicha escala va desde las partículas moleculares que estudia la Biología hasta los fenómenos estelares que indagan la Física y la Astronomía, pasando por las Ciencias Sociales y las Humanidades. De esta manera, en cada pregunta que las disciplinas hacen (o hicieron) para delimitar sus fronteras y definir su objeto, se proyectó al mismo tiempo la curiosidad por una escala singular del universo. La posibilidad del conocimiento científico es la plataforma que permite hacer estas preguntas y formular esta mezcla de realismo e idealismo con la que se nutre la reflexión científica.
