Sinopsis
La historia de nuestra universidad ha sido liderada por mujeres. Por esta razón, en mi carácter de rector de la Universidad Autónoma de Guerrero, me complace sobremanera dirigirme a ustedes con motivo de la publicación de este libro dedicado al feminismo, muy presente en todos los ámbitos de nuestra casa de estudios.Ejemplo de lo anterior es la reciente aprobación de la creación de la Unidad de Género (2024) en la UAGro, que reconoce el principio constitucional de la igualdad y que conlleva el reto de transversalizar la perspectiva de género para garantizar que las políticas y acciones en nuestra universidad sean equitativas, justas e imparciales.De igual forma, desde la academia, se llevan a cabo investigaciones sobre temas variados con perspectiva de género, que nos permiten comprender y analizar las desigualdades sociales entre hombres y mujeres, contribuyendo así a la solución de problemas y necesidades,y a que los gobiernos puedan implementar políticas públicas eficaces y de inclusión. Los diez ensayos que componen este libro y que reflexio-nan en torno a la materia que nos ocupa y a la coyuntura actual, son sólo una muestra de lo antes dicho.Finalizamos reiterando nuestro compromiso y empeño con la igualdad de género. Es un orgullo para la Universidad Autónoma de Guerrero ser parte del cambio y nos comprometemos a seguir construyendo entornos inclusivos y equitativos para erradicar la violencia de género.
