Este libro pretende enfocar el cómo y el cuándo escribir sobre el 68 en México sugiriendo que se rebase el uso de la tal vez
anticuada etiqueta de “novela histórica” para pensar, bajo el signo de la “ficción - no ficción”, las “escrituras del presente”
(Ludmer, 2010) que se cruzan con hechos históricos. Si bien la novela histórica, que se priorizó en el siglo XIX para acompañar
y consolidar la expresión de una subjetividad nacional, conoció varias mutaciones, en el transcurso del siglo XX se siguió
llamando “novela histórica”, sólo que se la consideró como “nueva”. Desde la perspectiva de nuestro ya bien entrado siglo
XXI, el recurso a los conceptos de “ficción” y “no ficción” se ve justificado por el uso y el lugar que se le reserva al documento ya
no sólo como archivo sino como material literario, en la narrativa, teatro y poesía. Así abordamos nuestro corpus del 68 mexicano.
