Esas historias procuran colocar lo colectivo por encima de lo individual, rehúyen la identificación entre consumo y bienestar, otorgan más relieve al tiempo que al dinero, recelan de las virtudes del trabajo que nos imponen, llaman la atención sobre las discriminaciones que padecen tantas mujeres, subrayan el escenario tétrico que sufren tantos animales, se interesan por prácticas de solidaridad y apoyo mutuo, o recuerdan las miserias que rodean a nuestro muy precario conocimiento del lugar en el que estamos. Si unas veces beben de la perspectiva del decrecimiento y en otras ocasiones se alimentan de culturas campesinas que se niegan a morir, tras ellas se aprecia con claridad el designio de cuestionar la lógica del capitalismo en todas sus dimensiones.
