Los sistemas de información jurídica son una herramienta de trabajo útil para cualquier profesional del Derecho. Más conocidos como "bases de datos" por los profesionales del sector, constituyen una materia básica de la Informática jurídica. Junto a ellos, el conocimiento de aspectos básicos relacionados con la seguridad en las nuevas tecnologías permite comprender las implicaciones que una buena o mala utilización de estos elementos puede tener. En un contexto donde el uso de las tecnologías de la información gana relevancia en todos los ámbitos, éstos son dos campos donde un mayor conocimiento permitirá al futuro profesional moverse con mayor soltura y confianza.Este manual responde a una concepción práctica del proceso de aprendizaje donde el estudiante consolida las materias estudiadas mediante la realización de casos. Para ello, cada capítulo contiene una práctica final en la cual el estudiante debe poner en aplicación los conocimientos adquiridos en el capítulo.
