La obra ofrece al lector rigor científico y pragmatismo para el impulso de herramientas educativas en el actual escenario de la inteligencia artificial (IA), brindando una serie de reflexiones sobre las nuevas coordenadas psicosocioeducativas que condicionan el desarrollo de los entornos virtuales de aprendizaje (EVA) y resaltando, además, la importancia de la comunicación empática y la gestión emocional como factores que favorecen un aprendizaje virtual eficaz. Sin duda, el mejor ejemplo de esta conjunción de ideas e intereses resulta ser la transdisciplinariedad con la que se concibe todo el libro, a partir de dos proyectos, iniciados en 2018, que han explorado sendas propuestas innovadoras, como son, por un lado, las posibilidades que representa la comunicación a través de chatbots en los EVA y, por otro, el reconocimiento de respuestas emocionales que se da en un formato de enseñanza virtual a través de las cuales se pueda valorar la motivación en tiempo real.
