Este libro rinde homenaje al legado del sociólogo colombiano Orlando Fals Borda, pionero de la Investigación Acción Participativa (IAP) y defensor incansable de los saberes populares como base del conocimiento transformador. A través de una mirada crítica y profundamente comprometida, Fals Borda cuestionó el dominio de la ciencia occidental y propuso una epistemología desde el Sur: viva, comunitaria, ética y política. En estas páginas, investigadores de diversas disciplinas exploran cómo la IAP sigue vigente y urgente en campos como la educación, los negocios, la gestión social y la defensa del territorio. Este libro plantea un desafío para la formación de profesionales universitarios de diferentes disciplinas que contribuyan a los procesos de cambio social, para ello propone la adopción, por parte de las instituciones universitarias, de la investigación acción participativa (IAP) como principal referente epistémico y metodológico latinoamericano.
