En la Colección Estudios Multi e Interdisciplinarios sobre América Latina y el Caribe la cual consta de ocho libros se presentan las investigaciones más actuales que se están llevando a cabo en el Programa de Posgrado en Estudios Latinoamericanos de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. De tal modo, los trabajos aquí publicados ofrecen un singular interés para aquellos lectores con una genuina inclinación por los temas y los problemas de nuestra América. Acorde con las diversas realidades del subcontinente, se reúnen investigaciones originales que consideran los temas filosóficos, literarios, históricos y culturales, así como las luchas indígenas y feministas, las problemáticas inherentes a la economía de la región y los movimientos migratorios y sociales. Todos estos acercamientos están atravesados por la búsqueda de un mundo alternativo en el que la integridad humana y el derecho a vivir dignamente predominen sobre los intereses egoístas y las tendencias del poder.
