Sinopsis
Juguetes e infancias, investigación rigurosa sobre la infancia y su cultura material, pretende hacer un aporte desde los Estudios Culturales a las discusiones teóricas alrededor del tema. Presenta una perspectiva crítica de la manera en que se fueron estableciendo y comprendiendo las nociones modernas de infancia en Colombia y cómo se han construido históricamente unas subjetividades infantiles diferenciadas de los adultos, por medio de prácticas y saberes psicológicos, médicos y pedagógicos, y de dinámicas de consumo de productos infantiles como los juguetes. También plantea un cambio progresivo y lento de las sensibilidades en relación con el advenimiento del juguete como objeto reservado y con funciones particulares para los niños y cómo a la vez la proliferación de estos objetos en el mercado es un síntoma del nuevo estatus y el valor social que empezó a tener la noción de infancia en Colombia.
