La ciudad como tercerespacio en la literatura estridentista
Sinopsis
El estridentismo surgió primero como un manifiesto pegado en las calles del centro de la Ciudad de México en 1921. Manuel Maples Arce proponía en él una renovación de la literatura mexicana, un ataque frontal a las instituciones literarias e históricas de México. Después se le unieron más escritores y artistas de la talla de Diego Rivera y Silvestre Revueltas para crear el primer movimiento de vanguardia mexicano.
En el presente trabajo, Rodrigo Figueroa hace una revisión de cómo la Ciudad de México y la tecnología de la época formaron una estética y una poética nuevas en el estridentismo. Asimismo, propone que no solamente la ciudad transformó el arte estridentista, sino que éste produjo cambios factuales en la ciudad de Xalapa, Veracruz. De este modo, La ciudad como tercerespacio en la literatura estridentista es un estudio geocrítico de la relación entre la urbe y el arte que las entiende como dos hechos que crean y recrean mutuamente sus significados.
