La obra La Educación en San Luis Potosí: maestros, gobierno,
sindicato y otros actores educativos de 1876-1960 es producto
de una investigación histórica. La indagación en las fuentes
primarias, en los archivos y en los centros de información es
parte de un esfuerzo intelectual por hacer visible el papel
de las maestras y maestros en el desarrollo social y cultural de
San Luis Potosí dentro del contexto histórico del magisterio
nacional. Los acontecimientos locales vividos se relacionan
con los sucesos y las políticas educativas emanadas de los
gobiernos posrevolucionarios. Sin duda, la unicación del
magisterio en 1943 fue un hecho que transformó las relaciones
políticas con las estructuras de los gobiernos estatales y
con la federación. La obra va documentando paso a paso
hasta la década de los sesenta. El libro es un reconocimiento
a la profesión del magisterio y su valor profesional en la
estructura social, política, educativa y cultural del país.
