Sinopsis
Escritos y publicados originalmente como entregas quincenales de la columna "A lápiz" para La Jornada Semanal entre los años 2000 y 2011, estos breves ensayos introducen al lector en un viaje sin retorno por mercados, calles, ciudades, comidas, días o meses, fiestas y tradiciones, por placeres y dolores del espíritu y el cuerpo, también por la infancia. Sin dejar de lado el discurso histórico, crítico y hasta erudito –a veces polémico y un poco ácido–, sobre cada uno de sus objetos de estudio, se imponen las obsesiones de este académico-investigador, la mirada del poeta (el niño) maravillada en el continuo de palabras e imágenes que descubren el mundo que decimos conocer.
