Sinopsis
El gobierno de la Ciudad de México ha sido pionero en avanzar hacia la institucionalización de la participación ciudadana al legislar sobre la materia e impulsar la colaboración con la ciudadanía, bajo mecanismos de gobernanza que deriven en nuevas estrategias para gobernar. En este tenor, en 2010 se incorporó a la Ley de Participación Ciudadana la implementación del presupuesto participativo en las dieciséis delegaciones políticas, el cual establece las prioridades y objetivos sobre el 3% del presupuesto delegacional, en función de las decisiones ciudadanas, expresadas mediante consulta pública, a través de la realización de proyectos específicos para el mejoramiento de los entornos habitacionales de los pueblos originarios, unidades habitacionales, colonias y barrios de la ciudad.
