Este libro reúne documentos y comentarios presentados durante la Mesa redonda sobre Crisis de deuda y su resolución, organizada en Buenos Aires, en agosto de 2012, por la Asociación Económica Internacional (AEI) junto con la Asociación Argentina de Economía Política (AAEP) y la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (FCE-UBA), con el auspicio del Ministerio de Economía de la República Argentina, el Instituto para la Integración de América Latina y el Caribe (INTAL, BID) y la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (UNC). Las crisis de deuda continúan planteando significativos desafíos analíticos. Por un lado, hubo desarrollos importantes, como los producidos a raíz de los vaivenes en el litigio judicial entre la Argentina y los “fondos buitre” –que fueron disparadores de un creciente interés internacional respecto de los mecanismos institucionales de las reestructuraciones de deuda soberana–; por otro, continuó el largo y trabajoso proceso de digestión de la crisis de sobreendeudamiento griego, cuyo final no puede vislumbrarse. Esta evolución ha destacado el interés de los temas tratados sin, a nuestro juicio, quitar relevancia a los argumentos y al intercambio de opiniones que reseña este libro.
