La situación actual de los jóvenes es precaria en derechos ciudadanos e incierta en conquistas futuras. Ciertamente,
la baja calidad de la democracia ha provocado un descrédito generalizado en la comunidad política, alterando los
mecanismos de integración social y política tradicionales.
Esta obra es el resultado de un esfuerzo colectivo de instituciones y de autores que abordan problemáticas específicas
de los jóvenes, con ejes complejos de análisis que trascienden dimensiones exclusivamente político-institucionales. Se
ponen de manifiesto las desigualdades de partida y las desavenencias de la vida cotidiana que impactan en el
presente, y en sus posibilidades futuras de integración a la vida democrática del país.
Cada trabajo invita al lector a reflexionar sobre la complejidad de los desafíos juveniles en México y sobre las
estrategias creativas de incidencia en la construcción de un modelo democrático de sociedad participativa.
