Sinopsis
Esta obra se construye con una serie cuentos en los que, desde una perspectiva femenina, la voz narrativa relata cómo se percibe la imagen de los machitos en México, en la frontera de Ciudad Juárez y El Paso, Texas, así como en otros espacios. De este modo, los personajes principales siguen la huella de sus distintas partes del cuerpo esparcidas por la ciudad ¿y acaso por todo el país?. Por su parte, los machitos hablan del peligro al que se exponen otros hombres que, como ellos, se atreven a explorar el otro lado. De las historias narradas surgen voces de hombres que nos cuentan distintas interpretaciones de lo que significa ser un macho, un aventurero, un poeta, un trabajador indocumentado, un soldado, un homosexual, un transgénero. Así, en Ciudad Juárez los hombres continúan la lucha por la supervivencia como testigos o actores principales de las desapariciones de otros hombres, mientras un diablo fronterizo controla el destino de muchos otros.
